i need 2 know for a science experimentpyrite has been known as "fools gold" for many years because it looks like quartz rocks with gold occulions. Iron pyrite is located in the same type of crystals of quartz as gold and has fooled people for many years. As for defining the difference between rock and crystal-- that is something a geologist can give you the best definition. Generally, unless a rock has formed from sedementary processes, it will possess a crystalline structure formed from heat or precipitation from a molton or liquid processes. Pyrite is actually niether, its more of a mineral I guess, its mostly iron particles and dirt.
BananasIt's a crystal, because it has a regular cubic form.it is not a crystal. is a rock. (fools gold essentially)Pyrite forms cubic crystals.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
