Ok I have a Quad Q6600 Cpu in PC which uses Socket LGA 775 is this important when you upgrade a CPU for example a :
Core 2 Extreme X6800 CPU also uses a Socket LGA 775 does this mean it will be ok for my MotherboardYou will need to check this with each motherboard. Every motherboard has detailed sections regarding each and every CPU that fits. Just because you have a 775 LGA socket it doesn't mean that it will be ok to use. It´s some help I assure you but it's only half of the battle. I once bought a motherboard that had socket 775 later I wanted to buy a new CPU but I couldn't buy what I wanted to buy because it didn't support it. I was going to buy a Quad6600 in the end I changed my motherboard.
Hope this is useful.it mite work..but the best thing to do is really go to the web site which makes your motherboard and have a look around there or look in the manuel which came with the m/board..just because it's the right socket dose not allways mean it will work..#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
